Seems like people enjoy recipes of all kinds, including raw food recipes! We'll pass along some that people might like to try!
Souper Salad!
Common ingredients: any salad items you enjoy [lettuce, carrots, cucumber, etc], plus spirulina [about a teaspoon to a tablespoon, depending on how much you like spirulina], and some seaweed [although we aren't sure if one can now get seaweed that hasn't been contaminated by radiation] - add some water [again, vary the amounts till you find what works for you], and you have a Souper Salad!
Breakfast juice
1 lemon [squeezed]
Calm [a magnesium mixed powder]
a powered fruit mix [teaspoon]
1/4 tsp baking soda
stevia to taste
de-seeded guava
MSM powder [1/4 tsp]
small amt of niacin
mix together and enjoy [and of course, any of the ingredients could be changed as desired]!
Modified Guacamole
This is one way to make a sort of guacamole, and of course, experiment with ingredients you like [such as onions]: This recipe is for one person.
Fudge
This is one of my favorite recipes to take to potlucks and similar gatherings. Even non-raw foodists tend to enjoy this raw fudge and can't believe it's NOT cooked fudge. A warning though: it is very heavy [with all that tahini]! So, eat in small portions!
Process or mix by hand with a fork and strong arm and place in bowl with strawberries or mint or other garnish. Looks just like fudge! Tastes a lot like fudge that has been baked in the oven!
Chowder
A base recipe for raw chowder; after you make this base, then you can add other ingredients such as seaweed, carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, or any other vegetable to make a carrot chowder or whatever other major ingredient you choose.
Put coconut meat & 1 cup water in blender and mix for 2 mins or so. Add the cashews and blend for 30 seconds. Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend well. This is your base or plain chowder. You can add any other vegetables or other ingredients as noted above. Sprinkling parsley or cilantro on top makes it look pretty. Makes about 5 servings. [Adapted from Victoria Boutenko]
Smoothies
There are all sorts of ingredients to use to make smoothies, and there are many smoothie recipe books and smoothie recipes available in many places, such as the internet, so we won't try to duplicate all of those recipes! However, we do have a few of our own yummy smoothie ideas to share:
Papaya Smoothie

Modified Guacamole
This is one way to make a sort of guacamole, and of course, experiment with ingredients you like [such as onions]: This recipe is for one person.
- About two tablespoons of sea weed [I prefer wakame from Emerald Cove] rehydrated with some water [altho, again, radiation possible]
- One half of an avocado [depending on size; if large, then use 1/4 avo]
- roughly three tablespoons of garbanzo beans [sprouted & raw or cooked]
- About one teaspoon spirulina [or less or more to personal flavor]
- Vegetables [chopped or grated] such as cucumber, bell pepper, carrot, celery
- Black olives [five or six]
- Black pepper
- 1 tsp to 1 TBSP Bragg's Amino Acids [to taste]
Fudge
This is one of my favorite recipes to take to potlucks and similar gatherings. Even non-raw foodists tend to enjoy this raw fudge and can't believe it's NOT cooked fudge. A warning though: it is very heavy [with all that tahini]! So, eat in small portions!
- 4 Bananas [riper is better]
- 3/4 cup of raw carob
- 1 cup [or so] soaked raisins, and keep soak water to blend in with the other ingredients
- 1 jar of raw tahini [16 oz]
- 1 cup of coconut flakes
- 1/2 tablespoon vanilla
- mint extract [optional; sometimes I include it, other times I don't]
Process or mix by hand with a fork and strong arm and place in bowl with strawberries or mint or other garnish. Looks just like fudge! Tastes a lot like fudge that has been baked in the oven!
Chowder
A base recipe for raw chowder; after you make this base, then you can add other ingredients such as seaweed, carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, or any other vegetable to make a carrot chowder or whatever other major ingredient you choose.
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup cashews
- 1 tsp sweetener [such as stevia; add a little at first to be sure to not oversweeten]
- salt to taste
- 1 cup coconut meat
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil [I would not use this much, but you might want to experiment with the amount]
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 2 to 5 cloves of garlic [since Iʻm not a fan at all of garlic, I skip this ingredient, but again, experiment]
Put coconut meat & 1 cup water in blender and mix for 2 mins or so. Add the cashews and blend for 30 seconds. Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend well. This is your base or plain chowder. Papaya Smoothie
- Several bananas [the number depends on individual taste; start with four or five]
- one papaya [in my experience, freezing the papaya first works better; non-frozen papayas tend to create a pudding-like consistency in the smoothie, which I donʻt find appealing]
- lecithin [abt a tsp to TBSP]
- sweetener [such as stevia or other] as desired
- water
- Blend all together and enjoy!
Green Smoothie
- Several bananas [again, start with four or five]
- greens: such as celery, lettuce, parsley, kale, cilantro, beet greens [experiment with the amount to discover how much tastes good to you]
- sweetener [such as stevia or other] as desired
- water
- lecithin [start with 1 tsp, and then maybe go up to a TBSP]
- Blend all together and enjoy!
